deregister_instances_from_load_balancer

deregister_instances_from_load_balancer(
    load_balancer_name: AccessPointName,
    instances: Instances,
    *,
    config_overrides: Optional[ElasticLoadBalancingClientConfig] = None,
) -> DeregisterEndPointsOutput

Deregisters the specified instances from the specified load balancer. After the instance is deregistered, it no longer receives traffic from the load balancer.

You can use DescribeLoadBalancers to verify that the instance is deregistered from the load balancer.

For more information, see Register or De-Register EC2 Instances in the Classic Load Balancers Guide.

Parameters:

  • load_balancer_name (AccessPointName) –

    The name of the load balancer.

  • instances (Instances) –

    The IDs of the instances.

Raises:

Examples:

To deregister instances from a load balancer This example deregisters the specified instance from the specified load balancer.

>>> client.deregister_instances_from_load_balancer(load_balancer_name='my-load-balancer', instances=[{'InstanceId': 'i-d6f6fae3'}])
